Prior to the establishment of Carbon Grafit Ltd. in 2003, some of the managers and colleagues worked for Carbone Lorraine Hungaria Kft., a subsidiary of the MERSEN Group (formerly Carbone Lorraine). Here they gained extensive professional experience of more than 25 years in the field of sales of industrial graphite and related synergetic products. With this expertise, we strive to assist our partners in Hungary and to ensure the supply of high quality graphite and other products manufactured by the Mersen Group.
Over the years, we have found that the most important thing for our partners is reliability, competitive prices and continuous, smooth delivery. With this in mind, we strive to build mutual cooperation with all our partners and adapt to their ever-changing needs.
To ensure this, we have built up a large stock of all product categories over the years, in order to be able to meet the needs of our old and new partners at short notice.
Production
Since our company was founded in 2003, we have been constantly monitoring the feedback and needs of our partners. Within a short period of time, we realised that we needed to expand our commercial activities with machining capacity in order to adapt to the market and our partners’ requirements.
Initially, we worked with a subcontracting partner on a contract basis. In 2008, we took ownership of this machining plant. This allowed us to ensure that our partners’ orders were fulfilled in the shortest possible time, and to have full control over the production process and guarantee consistent quality. Since then, we have continuously improved our machinery and production processes.
One of our greatest advantages is that we have a large stock of many special graphite raw materials, which enables us to undertake the cutting of graphite prefabricated products to size and the finishing of electrodes and graphite products according to customer requirements at very short notice.
In 2024, with the professional support of Mersen, we expanded our production capacity with a complete carbon brush production line.
With this investment, our aim is to serve the needs of our industrial and power generation partners in Hungary with the shortest possible delivery time and competitive prices for carbon and bronze brushes made from high quality raw materials provided by Mersen.
Our fleet
For the machining of special graphite products, we have a wide range of machining equipment such as band saws, conventional lathes, conventional milling machines, 3-axis CNC lathes, high vacuum Nedermann graphite dust extraction equipment.
Carbon bronze brush production: our carbon brush production line is composed of more than 20 types of special purpose machines, which allows us to produce carbon and bronze brushes of the most varied designs.
